Shoulder Arthritis Diagnosis
The diagnosis of shoulder arthritis is straightforward.
Your doctor will usually have an idea based on the description of your symptoms whether you may have arthritis.
Usually, a simple x-ray will show the arthritis. Fancy tests are not always necessary to diagnose this problem. Sometimes your physician will order an MRI scan to see if you have an problem in addition to the arthritis, such as a rotator cuff tear.
