Innovation Sports/Ossur Brace Measuring Guide
Use this measuring guide for the following knee braces:
- Innovation CTi OTS Pro Sport
- Innovation C180 Rocket
Before you begin, you will need a measuring tape - preferably cloth like the kind a seamstress would use. If you do not have a measuring tape, you can get by with a piece of string and a ruler.
Step 1: (This is easy) STAND UP.
Step 2: Measure the circumference around your knee. You want to measure the circumference (length around your knee) just below your kneecap, while standing. In the picture below, "CAP" refers to your kneecap (patella). You want to measure around your knee at the red line. (The technical description of this measure is the "circumference of the knee at the distal pole of the patella in a standard weightbearing position".)
Step 3: Look up your size on the chart below: (this chart is Innovation Sports exact measuring guideline)

| For the C180 Rocket Children's Knee Brace | ||
|---|---|---|
| Size | Measurement | |

Small | 9 1/2" to 11" (24.1-27.9 cm) |
| Large | 10 1/4" to 11 3/4" (25-29.8 cm) |
|
| Note that sizes overlap to allow for your child's growth. If your child's measurement is 10.25" or larger, most likely you are better off ordering the Large. For circumferences larger than 11.75", you should consider an adult brace. | ||
